On 17th April 2008 we shockingly found out that our daughter Libby (then 16 months old) had a brain tumour.  Libby had successful life saving surgery at the Royal Children’s Liverpool Alder Hey hospital to remove the tumour and some skull.  The tumour was subsequently diagnosed as a rare children's bone cancer called Ewing's Sarcoma.  It was established that the cancer had originated in her skull and had formed a large tumour in her brain.  Not only is the cancer itself rare but its position and Libby’s age make it out of the ordinary and this is our family story.  Read our blog........
